Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m Sakthivel, a dedicated trader passionate about improving consistency and discipline in the markets. My main focus is Forex . I’ve been trading for 2years , and I joined The5ers to sharpen my risk management, strengthen my psychology, and grow with a community of serious traders. My trading style is day trader , and I aim for steady, sustainable growth rather than quick wins. I believe discipline, patience, and continuous learning are the keys to long-term success.

I have been trading for 2 years.

Briefly describe your Trading Plan and how it contributes to your success.

I trade Forex as a full-time trader, focusing on high-probability setups with clear risk-to-reward ratios. I use technical analysis for entries and exits, supported by strict risk management—risking no more than 0.5% per trade. My plan includes defined trading hours, a daily routine for analysis, and a strong emphasis on journaling and reviewing trades.

This structure helps me stay disciplined, avoid emotional decisions, and maintain consistency, which I believe is the foundation of long-term trading success.

Share with us a challenge you faced in your trading career and how you overcame it?

My main challenges were not having fixed targets and feeling the urgency to book profits too quickly. This led to inconsistent results. I overcame it by developing a strict, rule-based trading plan and following it like a robot. This helped me stay disciplined, remove emotions from decisions, and improve consistency.

What is your mental/psychological strength, and how did you develop it?

My biggest strength is discipline—after taking a trade, I don’t keep watching the market. I trust my analysis and rules, which helps me stay calm and avoid emotional decisions. I built this habit through experience, journaling, and a focus on rule-based trading.

What was your strategy to successfully pass The5ers’ evaluation?

My strategy was simple—focus on consistency. I traded only high-probability setups, risked a fixed 0.5% per trade, and avoided overtrading. By following my rules strictly and keeping emotions out, I was able to grow steadily and meet the target without unnecessary risk.
