Tell us a little bit about you.

I work full-time and use forex as a hobby.
I’m a lab manager. I’ve been working in the lab for over 20 years. I didn’t know what forex was until someone posted a video about it. I find trading forex really fun when you win trades or profit.

How long have you been trading?

I’ve been trading since high school. Stock trading from high school to adulthood. I learned forex trading about 5 years ago. I wish I could’ve learned about forex sooner. In the US, nobody talks about currency trading. I would always wonder why the news would talk about the pound, dollar, and yen.

Briefly describe your Trading Plan and how it contributes to your success.

I use indicators.
First off, I don’t consider myself successful. If I were, I wouldn’t be using prop firms. I’m still trying to figure things out. I would use indicators, and it would let me know when to buy and sell. As of now, it’s working. I got paid recently.

Please share with us a challenge you faced in your trading career and how you overcame it.

Everything is mostly mental, and you need to be strong-minded.
I’m still facing challenges. There are times I get so eager to put in a trade, and it doesn’t go my way. I would trade before my indicator would let me know because I always want the best entry. Also, I’m doing my best to put stop losses. Most of the time, I avoid them, but I do put them on when I know news is coming up.

How did you adjust risk management to your trading personality?

I’m still working on my risk management. For sure, I put stop losses for news. I don’t over-leverage like I used to. I’ll take the loss and try to win the war.

Describe a key moment in your trading career

I don’t have a key moment yet. If I would assume one, it’ll be getting paid 12 months in a row. I”‘ll find that as a successful trader.

How long does it take to become a consistent trader, and what aspects did you change that helped you become consistent?

I’m an average trader. I wish I could be better.
Every time I get disqualified from a live or demo account, I try to learn from my mistakes. I would ask myself why did I enter so early or why I didn’t close with a stop loss. I used to trade every symbol available. Now, I only trade 2 or 3 symbols.

What is your mental/psychological strength, and how did you develop it?

I’m still working on my mental strength, and its still in development.
I want to say I’m still weak at forex. If I can win 90% of my trades, then I’ll consider myself mentally strong. The more trades I win the more my mental strength gets developed.

What was your strategy to successfully pass The5ers’ evaluation?

My strategy is based on the indicators that I used.
My strategy was to stay calm and cool-headed. I try not to get eager and follow my indicators.

How is trading for The5ers different from trading by yourself?

As everyone says, there is a better chance to make more with prop firms than yourself.

What would you recommend to someone who is just starting with us?

Learn from your losses.
I would recommend they do the Bootcamp. It looks like a training block for them.
