I’m Chukwuemeka Benneth Adinnu, originally from Nigeria, currently pursuing my second degree in Northern Cyprus. My educational background in engineering has provided me with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, which have proven valuable in my trading journey.
I started trading over three years ago, during which time I have accumulated significant hands-on experience and knowledge across various markets and trading instruments. My passion for the financial markets drove me to pursue professional certifications from leading trading firms, equipping me with advanced technical and risk management skills.
Alongside my trading career, I run a trading academy, Betnext Capital, where I mentor and coach aspiring traders, offering both free and paid trading courses. My mission is to empower others to approach trading with the right skills, mindset, and strategies to navigate market complexities successfully.
I have been trading for over 3 years, and I am a Scalper.
My primary goal is to be consistent. I aim for a weekly returns target of 1-2 percent of my overall account in my funded account, while on my challenge account, I aim for higher returns of seeking 2.5 -4 percent or more with a focus on minimizing risk and preserving capital.
I primarily focus on day trading or scalp. Depending on the volatility of the market and market conditions. My trades typically last from 30 minutes, sometimes less to less than 2 hours. My time of holding trades depends on the volatility and the opportunity seen at that point.
I specialize in trading US30 and Nasdaq. Which I am profitable with. But sometimes, I fall into the trap of XAUUSD and a couple of major forex pairs that I don’t like to trade. I learned to trade Nasdaq and US30 due to years of practice I have on the pairs. I have back-tested and watched the movement back in 2017.
I only trade during the New York session because of the volatility of the market. My core strategy is based on price action and movement, especially in US30, having the highest number of pip movements in a minute during the New York session. I only use the first minute to determine the direction of the markets, and I move toward that direction.
I had a few challenges in my trading journey. One which is Over trading. Before now, I have traded almost all pairs I see on the trading view, doing different analyses. But right now, I focus only on Us30 and Nasdaq and, in some cases, XAUUSD.
Risk management was also one of my major challenges. I couldn’t manage risk because of I want to get all the movement in the market and I want to make more money then I risk more. Not until I realize that consistency is the key to being successful in the game
The only way I adjust my risk management is to reduce the time I trade, that is why I choose the New York session because it’s more like the last session before the market closes. This way, I wouldn’t take any trade during Asian and London sessions, thereby minimizing my risk by reducing my trading hours
That should be July last year, 2023, when I lost my dad. I made a decision to take trading seriously so that I could give my mum a better life. Ever since that day. I study and backtest on TradingView till this very hour I’m writing this
2 years. I had to reduce the instruments I traded to 3 and reduce my trading hours
My mental strength lies in maintaining emotional discipline and resilience, which I developed through experience, self-awareness, and structured routines. I consistently practice managing emotions like fear and greed by sticking to a well-defined trading plan and focusing on long-term goals over short-term gains.
Price action.
It’s a major difference for me because I’m offered Capital to maximize my trading profits
First, I’d recommend focusing on buying strong trading principles and risk management.
I’d advise learning market structure and how to analyze using top-down analysis, and I will advise the person not to fall into the trap of quick gains but instead focus on consistency.
