- Tell us a little bit about you.
My name is Tharindu Tharuka. I am from Sri Lanka. I have been trading roughly since I was 21 years old. Currently, I’m 24 years old. I play guitar when I’m free. Learn some new guitar styles like flamenco and do some extra outdoor activities like hiking. I was a school math teacher before I entered to full-time trading. Now I’m a full-time funded trader.
- How long have you been trading?
For 3 years, I am a Full-Time Trader.
- Briefly describe your Trading Plan and how it contributes to your success.
I’m a purely technical trader. I trade on naked charts. No indicators, no EAs. My trading strategy is quite unique Because I trade only one pair, which is EURUSD. I’m from a South Asian country, so I can trade when London open, London close, and New York open.
- Share with us a challenge you faced in your trading career and how you overcame it?
Don’t rush anything. Slow and steady wins the race.
- How did you adjust risk management to your trading personality?
I’m a smart money trader. I only risk 0.125% per trade.
- Describe a key moment in your trading career.
Being a full-time trader was my key moment.
- How long it took for you to become a consistent trader, and what aspects did you change that helped you to become consistent?
It took 2 years to become a consistent level. Hard work and dedication pay me a lot.
- What is your mental/psychological strength, and how did you develop it?
Meditation. Meditation helped me a lot of focus when I’m trading.
- What was your strategy to successfully passing The5%ers’ First Level?

- How is trading for the5ers different from trading by yourself?
When we are trading for a living, you know it requires more capital. Otherwise, you’re not going to make a full-time income on a $500 account. And the 5ers provides that opportunity for you as long as you can prove to yourself that you’ve been consistently profitable. The 5ers could be a great opportunity for people who don’t have enough capital for trading.
- What would you recommend to someone who is just starting with us?
The 5ers is a good company and has a great reputation. If you need more capital to build your own trading career, the 5ers is the best.
