How were you introduced to trading? I came across the stock market initially when browsing the web for ideas on income supplementation. Eventually, over time I transitioned to the Forex markets.
After how much time did you become a consistent trader? I became a consistent trader in the past year. The biggest aspects were risk management and patience.
Do you have a specific trading plan? My trading plan is a hybrid of Trend Following and Swing Trading.
Please describe your trading routine? Over the weekend, I look for a currency pair that is ripe for expansion and then set stop orders to jump into the positions.
Do you have any risk management techniques? If so, please, elaborate? Generally each trade I will initially risk 0.5%.
What was your biggest challenge in trading, and how did you overcome it? Risk management and patience. The way I overcame it was being burned and eventually growing tired of losing.
What was the key moment of your trading career? Discovering the ATR indicator, which is the only indicator I use, and the “Top Traders Unplugged” podcast.
What do you think are the most important characteristics for maintaining a stable trading career? Risk management and patience.
Do you apply any mental/psychological routines while trading? Please elaborate. Once I enter a trade, I go do something else and periodically check on the trade. Sitting and watching your trade play out will harp on all your emotions.
